La Piconera C/ Gutiérrez de los Ríos, 27, 14002 Cordoba
|
|
Off the beaten tourist path yet in the middle of Cordoba's historic downtown, the tavern La Piconera opened its doors at the end of 2021. Located in a quiet side street between the popular Corredera Square and the Iglesia de San Andrés (St. Andrew's Church), guests find themselves in an atmosphere of relaxed cosiness and family flair.
Locals as well as visitors to the city may enjoy traditional dishes the local cuisine has to offer that are reinterpreted in an innovative way.
In this context, recommendations, for example, are the Pedro Ximénez meat croquettes, the gyozas (Japanese dumplings) filled with pork cheeks, or the quesadillas (Mexican cheese tortilla) with a bull's tail stuffing. La Piconera also offers various tapas and dishes for vegetarians and vegans.
For dining, guests can choose between different dining rooms and a typical patio (a courtyard decorated with flowers), which forms the heart of this former apartment building. Finally, culture lovers should know that art exhibitions regularly take place on the premises of the tavern, as well as cultural events such as book presentations or live concerts.
