Rute - Carnival 2020

Famous for its enormous array of colors, the Rute Carnival is one of the most important carnival events in the province of Cordoba. Most festivities are celebrated in the week before the so-called Domingo de Piñata. This Sunday after Ash Wednesday is the highlight of the so-called fifth season.

Especially worth mentioning are:

- Carnival Associations' Contest
- Murgas Contest
- Parades
- Entierro de la Sardina („Sardine Funeral“) on Ash Wednesday
- Domingo de Piñata Parade.

The 2020 Rute Carnival is celebrated between 22 February and 1 March.
