Javier Campos runs the Ermita de la Candelaria restaurant, which opened in 2017, with the aim of making it one of Cordoba's leading gastronomic establishments.
The conditions for this could not be better: the ambience there is simply unique. The restaurant is located in a 15th century chapel which has been lovingly restored and offers an unmatched and dignified atmosphere. Here guests can indulge themselves in the specialties of the local cuisine.
In this respect, expect to find something special - the dishes, prepared with seasonal products from the region, are not only a mouthwatering experience, but also underline the claim of the house to act as environmentally friendly as possible.
Among the specialties of the menu, the following dishes are particularly recommended:
- the so-called Mazamorra, a cold cream dish with sardines and deep-fried pepper,
- Green beans with foie gras and a mustard vinaigrette,
- Rice with seasonal mushrooms and Iberian pork and green asparagus
- Braised oxtail in its classic version.
In addition, the restaurant offers various separate dining rooms, a typical courtyard and a small garden. Here guests may find even more privacy. These locations also offer perfect conditions for the organization of celebrations and events.
