Local History Museum
Inaugurated in 2004, the municipal museum "Luque Tierra de Fronteras" offers visitors the opportunity to gain an insight into the historical development of the town and the region in the border area between Cordoba and Granada. Three halls are dedicated to this topic:
- Border in Antiquity (Hall I)
- Border in the Middle Ages (Hall II)
- Border during the Spanish Civil War (Hall III).
The two remaining halls of the museum are dedicated to local artists and/or are used for temporary exhibitions.

The full guided tour includes an introduction to the history of the town as well as a visit to the Cueva de la Encantada, the parish church of La Asunción and the city museum. The tour lasts approximately three hours. The admission fee is 3.00 EUR per person.
Luque Olive Oil Interpretive Center
Olive oil is probably the most important industry in the town of Luque and the entire region. Since 2012 there is a local interpretation center which provides the opportunity to find out about the meaning of the so-called liquid gold and get to know it in all its facets.
Visitors can experience with all senses, was has to do with the cultivation of olives and the production of olive oil. So the museum offers olive oil tastings. There are also video demonstrations, and visitors may of course also buy the precious natural product on site.

Clock Tower
The clock tower is found in the immediate vicinity of the Ermita de San Nicolás Tolentino and the Ermita de la Aurora chapels. It was built in 1820. The tower has been silent since the last tower guard passed away, who took the secret of its functioning to the grave.
Ermita de la Aurora
This small chapel dates from the last years of the 18th century. In front of the chapel there is a square richly decorated with flowers, which is a very popular photo motif, especially in the spring months.
Ermita de San Bartolomé
This chapel is consisting of only one ship, which is covered by a barrel vault. It houses a statue of Saint Bartholomew, the patron saint of Luque, and is therefore particularly worshipped.
Hospital de Jesús Nazareno
This building, built in the 18th century, impresses with its entrance portal that is made of multi-colored jasper. The main courtyard with Tuscan columns is also worth seeing.
Iglesia Conventual Nuestra Señora De Gracia
This baroque church was built in the 18th century. It particularly impresses with its crossing dome resting on stucco-decorated spandrels.
Ermita de Nuestra Señora Del Rosario
Located near Plaza de España Square, this chapel has the layout of a Latin cross and is covered by a barrel vault. Its facade shows the coat of arms of the Earls of Luque.
Dolmen de la Lastra Tomb
The dolmen of Luque is another rare sight in the area. With a total length of about 3.70 meters, this small dolmen consists of a quadrangular chamber tomb and a short narrow entrance. The chamber is formed by three supporting stones and a massive ceiling stone. The entrance is formed by six vertical flagstones, but there are no cap stones.
Laguna del Salobral
The Laguna del Salobral is an important nature reserve, which is located only five kilometers (3 miles) from the center of Luque. This one is the largest of a total of six lagoons that make the wetlands in the south of the province of Cordoba. The protected area is of enormous importance for rare migratory bird species; it serves as their winter quarters and breeding ground.
