The B & B Casa Almara was opened in 2018 to receive its guests in the center of Espejo. It is a building of traditional architecture that has been restored respecting the original elements of the house such as the tiled floor or the wooden doors.
It is a small charming accommodation with eight rooms overlooking a central street of the city, or a 100 years old courtyard respectively. Some of the rooms on the top floor offer great views over the large olive groves that surround the city.
All rooms are designed to make a stay as comfortable as possible. For this purpose, guests will find a private bathroom with a hairdryer and amenities, as well as air conditioning and heating.
On the ground floor of the building there is the breakfast room and a small library that opens onto the terrace of the house.
Thanks to its location on the Caliphate Road, which runs between Córdoba and Granada and the Way of St. James, Casa Almara is ideal for travelers and pilgrims, some of them on foot, by bike, by motorbike or with car.
It is also an ideal starting point to visit the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba, the medieval synagogue or the famous Patios, as well as the wineries of the Montilla-Moriles region or the Via Verde de la Subbética which runs along about 30 kilometers (20 miles) from Casa Almara.
