Flower Battle 2022 (Batalla de las Flores)
Every year in early May, the so called Flower battle is one of the popular events in Cordoba. Thousands of locals and visitors are flocking to the Paseo de la Victoria Boulevard, where they line the street when the big parade with about 15 artfully decorated floats passes.
Women in beautiful gypsy costumes throw tens of thousands of carnations from the wagons into the crowd. The audience then throws the flowers back, which appears to be like a battle with flowers. So the event was eventually named Battle of Flowers.
It is a wonderful and entertaining tradition that should not be missed.
