Ars Olea 2022
In October, the small town of Castro del Río becomes a mecca for lovers of arts and crafts. The annual artisan fair “Ars Olea” attracts visitors from Andalusia and beyond and made this town truly a reference for what’s going on in the artisan business. No wonder, the fair exhibitors include craftspeople from the entire state of Andalusia.
The fair dedicated to bring together craftsmen and consumers. To attract the latter, there are a number of activities and events taking place, including sales of crafts items, workshops, exhibits and guided tours of Castro del Río’s historic quarter. Visitors may also try and purchase a range of traditionally produced goods such as olive oil, meat produce, cheese and milk, honey or pastries.
Ars Olea is - as in previous years - held in the historic part of Castro del Río, known as Barrio de la Villa. Renowned for its variety of monuments, this area is worth visiting by all means. So why not combine a trip there with a visit to the arts and crafts fair?
