El Juramento Tavern is of excellent reputation. It is one of the traditional taverns of Cordoba. Situated in the center of the city, close-by the famous Corredera Square, this establishment has been serving its guests since the beginning of the 20th century. No wonder, Taberna el Juramento today is a place that is rich in history and stories to tell. Therefore, this tavern is renowned not only in Cordoba, but in the entire region.

Furthermore, the popular tavern is well-known and for its tasty specialties. It serves homemade style dishes representing the rich Cordoba cuisine. Guests should not miss some of the most traditional dishes, including so called Patatas Bravas, diced potatoes served in a savory sauce. Other dishes the Juramento is renowned for include homemade salad, home-style cod, omelets, and pine nut-and-spinach croquettes. Or try the Juramento’s lusty stuffed paprika peppers. It is said that Julio Romero Torres, a famous painter of Cordoba and Juramento regular, used to enjoy this specialty in the 1920’s. Another son of Cordoba, the fabulous bullfighter Manuel Rodríguez “Manolete”, was another regular guest right here at the Juramento.

The Tavern features three halls clasping around a beautiful Cordoba style Patio courtyard. From there it provides enough space to serve up to 65 guests at one time making the Juramento a great place even for family reunions or other occasions.

Many of Cordoba’s major attraction are within walking distance.
