Taberna El 6
C/ Carlos Rubio 28, 14002 Cordoba

Founded in 1870, this tavern owes its name six silver smiths who joined to form six taverns, each known as “El 6” and today ranking among the oldest eateries in town.

Located in the heart of the so called Axerquía, historic downtown, Taberna El 6 is found in immediate vicinity of historic places such as Corredera Square and Potro Square with some of Cordoba’s most famous museums being situated there. More museums and other attractions, including a number of churches, are located in El 6’s vicinity, as well.

Still today the tavern provides a unique historic atmosphere. Historic views of the city and old photographs give guests a glimpse of what Cordoba was looking like in past times.

When it comes to this tavern’s cuisine, everything remains traditional as well. You’ll be able to enjoy vintage Cordoba style delicacies. Recommendable are, for example, the Salmorejo cordobés (the famous cold tomato cream), the Churrasco Steak, the artichokes in Montilla wine sauce, or the oxtail.
