La Paloma Plaza de la Corredera, 4 14002 Cordoba
|
|
Plaza de la Corredera ranks among the most beautiful squares in Cordoba and is considered unique throughout Andalusia, because its architecture is unusual for that region and is rather comparable to Plazas Mayores (major squares) in the cities of Salamanca or Madrid. Beutiful arcades edge large portions of the site, providing space for small shops and bars.
One of these bars is La Paloma. The old-established family-owned business may look back at a long lasting tradition. For decades, the establishment has been spoiling its guests with exquisite delicacies of the Andalusian cuisine.
The house’s menu list provides an extensive range of lusty snacks, so called tapas, as well as full-size dishes. Among the most characteristic specialties of the house are eggplants with honey and chicken breast with sparkling wine gravy. La Paloma’s Flamenquines (breaded pork rolls stuffed with Serrano ham) are renowned even beyon the city limits.
In front of the house, guests may enjoy their snacks or meals on a large open-air terrace. Providing space for up to one hundred persons, it is a great meeting point for you not only on sunny winter days or warm summer nights.
Throughout the year, various events are taking place on the newly restored Corredera Sqaure, including a medieval market row in winter and a number of live concerts and Flamenco performances in summer.
So come to La Paloma and enjoy its tastes, as well as the life right here on the Corredera Square!
