Opened in January 2010, Garum 2.1 is a tapas bar featuring a new concept in gastronomy. It combines traditional Cordoba cuisine and vanguard tapas creations. The whole thing is called “Bistronomic-Tapasbar” and adds another highlight to local gastronomic scenery.
The term “Bistronomic” stands for ambitious cuisine at reasonable prices. The quality of ingredients the food is prepared with, the creativity of the chefs and the distinguished guest service promise an outstanding and innovative culinary experience.
A two-story tapas bar and restaurant, the modern and original decoration and furnishing make their contribution to Garum 2.1’s gastronomic concept. While the ground floor features elements of a traditional Andalusian tavern, including parts of the ancient Roman city wall, the upper level hosts an elegant restaurant inviting the guest to linger and enjoy good food at a good price. Here the Roman city wall is adding a special flair, too. As does the rooftop, where guests may enjoy a spectular view over the historic quarter while dining.
This tapas bar and restaurant is not only recommendable for its traditional and newly created tapas. It is also a place just to meet for a drink accompanied by good music.
In any event, Garum 2.1 is worth trying. In 2011, Garum 2.1 has been honored with the “Q”, labeling outstanding “touristic quality” (calidad turística).
