La Abacería, also known as Casa de la Tapa cordobesa, is conveniently located between the famous Mezquita Mosque and Cathedral and the Guadalquivir River. Hence, many of the most remarkable monuments in town lie within walking distance.
La Abacería is a typical tavern, representing mediterranean style and southern way of life. Guests will find an inviting, cozy ambiance, and they will enjoy the personal service provided by La Abacería’s owner Mrs. Blanca.
Blanca often invites passing tourists to a glass of wine and a lusty snack made of deep-fried eggplants with honey. Naturally, this may help rebuild and prepare for further sightseeing.
Recommendable are amongst others: Salmorejo, a traditional tomato cream, oxtail, deep-fried fish, baked cod, and the house’s great mushroom dishes.
Also, Mrs. Blanca recommends to try one of the various Paella dishes she provides her guests with. The Spanish national dish is served as complete meal or in combination with other dishes.
Finally, you may add one of the various homemade desserts. Simply try the so called Gachas or Natillas.
So come and see what Blance is waiting for you with.
