Cata del Vino - Wine Fest 2022
Cordoba celebrates the region’s quality wine - and you are invited to join the annual Cata del Vino wine fest. So come, taste and enjoy.
The so-called Campiña, a rural area some 30 miles south of Cordoba, is an area renowned for its excellent wines. The famous Montilla-Moriles wines are well-respected even beyond Spain’s borders.
The most notable wines include Fino, Amontillado, Oloroso, Cream, Pedro Ximénez and Blanco joven. While maturing in oak barrels, there is a veil of yeast on the surface (velo de flor) precluding oxidation and therefore giving the wines their characteristic and unparalleled taste.
Participating wineries and cellar door operations, as well as plus taverns and restaurants make sure there is plenty to know about wine and - of course - to enjoy.
Some 20 wineries and about a dozen of taverns and restaurants will present themselves on the wine fest.
