Cuevas del Pino, a rural property embedded in the rolling foothills of the Sierra Morena mountain range, features three guest cottages, Casa Sol (The Sun House), Casa Luna (The Moon House) and Casa Lucero (The Star House).
All of the cozy cottages are traditional Andalusian houses with whitewashed walls, Arabian tiled roofs and terraces covered with grape-vines. So it is a place where guests may feel the old Arabian way of life - without the hassle of modern life, but without having to pass on modern amenities.
The Casa Sol Cottage has capacity to accommodate 5 to 7 persons. One bedroom and one bathroom are suitable for those being disabled. Casa Lucero provides space for four persons and is accessible for persons with disabilities, as well. Casa Luna is prepared to host 2 to 4 guests. All houses are furnished and equipped with central heating, as well as air condition.
The Casa del Pino property is beautifully embedded in a great landscape. Adjacent to the houses there are many palm trees, cypresses, mulberry trees and rosemary, and the nearby orchard is home to a number of fruit trees. Another piece of land is dedicated to ecological lucerne farming.
Hidden by trees and bushes, guests may enjoy a swimming pool of 50 squere meters (about 50 sq. yards). And in the rear part of the estate a large cave may be marveled at. This cave, from which the property derived its name, is an ancient quarry which had been developed and maintained by Romans and Arabians.
Thanks to its vicinity of the city of Cordoba, Cuevas del Pino offers unique opportunities to combine rural tourism and vast cultural experiences. Close-by are the ancient palace town of Medina Azahara and the impressive Almodóvar Castle; both are reachable in less than ten car minutes.
The city of Cordoba itself is just 14 kilometers (9 miles) away and a car ride takes as little as 15 minutes to get there.
